Here's the story.
- Started playing guitar at age 14.
- Got my start in live performance around 1992 (lead guitarist in a Classic rock cover band).
- First band lasted a year, or so. Twas fun when I was 21.
- 2nd "working" band started 1993 or 1994 (can't remember).
- Started mixing in original songs amongst the set of covers. (was going over well).
- Had enough material and funds saved up (from playing every weekend) to go into the studio.
- However...Ended right at the finish line by a dick of a Bass player. (never did get along with this guy).
- Start Over.
- Decided to get some deeper knowledge in the biz (took a course "The Recording Arts Program of Canada")
- Came out with a certification in Audio Engineering/Producing. (1996)
- Did some volunteer work at a Recording Studio, which wasn't paying the bills LOL.
- Bought a bunch of gear and started a mobile recording studio.
- Done a bunch of band demo's and what-not, still wasn't paying the bills.
- Before I packed it all in, cut my hair and got a real job, I managed to write, record, mix and master my own project.
- Only recently published it here on dayvdyza.newgrounds.com/
- Getting back into the community now (watching a ton of YouTube Mix/Master/Production vid's).
- My My, how the world of recording has changed.
- I cut my teeth in Audio Engineering back when the digital age was just emerging.
- Now it is everything.
