Well, as far as infecting the audio portal goes, I'd say I'm a pretty friendly virus.
Hi, I am The NGVirus, I've been making a variety of different genres since 2012. I've only been recording traditional instruments (as opposed to VST Synths) since 2017, starting with some general rock and punk covers. Lately I've been wanting to really get better at mastering punk though (I usually go for a more 80s uk punk sound), and I want to get way better at mastering! My vocals could also use some work, and I hope I can learn that from all of you here in this newly founded community!
Godspeed lads, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask, I'm not an expert in any field per se, but I'm moderately experienced in most things regarding music production!

What's your setup like? What guitars do you play? Well, my setup isn't as expansive as I'd like it to be, mostly due to lack of space.
I'm currently recording a cheapish phoenix stratocaster and an equally off-brand bass (I don't know the specifics to be honest) through a behringer U-Phoria UM2. As for drums, I'm using Abbey Road's Studio Drummer through Kontakt 5. I record directly into FL Studio, and mainly use VSTs (Legion or Emissary as amp, NadIr as cabinet) for the bass and guitar.

Exploited mainly, they're my favorite band, and also one of the first bands I covered when I figured out my first rudimentary way of recording guitar and bass (3.5mm aux cable with a 6.35mm jack adapter, plugged straight into my computer's mic in)
I'm always down to talk about music production, and I'm also more than open for any collabs!

I figured out my first rudimentary way of recording guitar and bass (3.5mm aux cable with a 6.35mm jack adapter, plugged straight into my computer's mic in) That's how I started recording too. I didn't have internet access but I had written a bunch of ideas and wanted to put something down. It sounded terrible but it's still fun to go back and listen sometimes.
